Taste Test: Trader Joe’s Smoked Salmon Dip.

As you may have guessed, we here at SnaxNTheCity are obsessed with Trader Joe’s.

And while the grocery store does not have a social-media presence, they do have an awesome website filled with recipes & info on their products.

Recently, I was browsing their website & one recipe had me stop & say, “I have to try that.”

The Creamy Smoked Salon Linguine & Capers is a three-step recipe that highlights their Smoked Salon with Caper’s Dip.

Full disclosure: I was skeptical about how good this was going to be, but my culinary curiosity was peaked.

The recipe is a simple one: boil their Spinach & Chive linguine until al dente & save 1 cup of the pasta water. Add the dip to a pan & add the pasta water to the pan until the dip becomes thinner like sauce.

And while this was good, it was missing something. I added capers (because honestly, even though the dip says capers are in the dip, there were literally none), chopped garlic, and lemon zest (for brightness!).

The dip is tasty & tastes great over pasta! I would also try it over their lemon & ricotta ravioli (a must try!).

Pick up Trader Joe’s Smoked Salmon Dip next time you pop in the store, priced at $3.99.
