#BoyfiendBeCookin: Fondue for Two!

Hey guys!

So I’m happy to announce the first ~ever~: #BoyfriendBeCookin’!

If you’ve been following SnaxNTheCity.com from day 1, you’ve seen John go from #Bae to #Boyfriend.

And if you’ve been following since day 1, you know he doesn’t cooking.

#Boyfriend’s bought me this really cool fondue pot for Valentine’s Day & we finally got to use it!

Using a recipe that I took the recipe from my girlfriend Alicia, #Boyfriend wanted to create it for himself & guys, it was delicious.

And he put his own little spin on the things we use to dip, I’m so proud. He’s officially an honorary member of SnaxNTheCity.com

Let’s me started!

2 cups of Gruyere cheese, shredded

1 cup of Swiss cheese, shredded

1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

2 tablespoons of flour

2 tablespoons of  garlic

1 cups white cooking wine

1 tablespoons of lemon juice

1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard

1/4 teaspoons of nutmeg

Dippers, we used pretzels, garlic toast, & a sliced pretzel bread.

Okay so this recipe is super easy: most of the hard work is shredding the cheese, which technically can be avoided by buying pre-shredded cheese but if we’re keeping it real guys, the block cheese was on sale.

Once all three cheeses were shredded, you’re ready to get this fondue party started.

In a warm fondue pot,  (the one I have is by Cuisinart  & advises using the number “3” setting for cheese fondue), add the white wine & garlic & let it simmer.

Add half of the cheese & stir until melted, then add the rest of the cheese & flour.

Stir in the nutmeg & reduce the heat so the cheese doesn’t burn.

Pair it with your favorite dippables (I used pretzels, garlic toasts, and pretzel bread) & a good ass wine, and you have the perfect fondue for two!
