Bitches Be Brunching: Mocha Almond French Toast.

Mmhm, brunch.
What better way to spend a Sunday than eating a good ass meal?
I made a Mocha Almond French toast to share with my closest girlfriends & not one belly was not satisfied.

This coffee flavored breakfast staple was inspired by a post I saw made by https://cafedelites.com with a few tweaks made. I decided to subtract the chocolate & add some flavored coffee creamer to the mix.

Want to see how I made my new favorite french toast? Check the recipe below!

For the french toast*:
Eight slices of Texas toast
Four eggs
1/2 cup of brewed black coffee
1/2 cup of coffee creamer, I used a Mocha Almond Fudge flavor by Coffee Mate

toast

For Coffee Cream:
1 cup heavy cream
5 tablespoons of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of ground coffee
1/2 tablespoon of black coffee

Additional:
Cocoa powder for dusting.

*Originally, I used milk as picture but it didn’t work out at all. So ignore the milk, k?

*For the French Toast*

This recipe is super easy since it’s just making French toast.

I mixed the eggs, coffee, and creamer in a baking dish so I could easily dip the bread in the mix.

I only let the bread sit in the mix for 30 seconds on each side, since the bread will get soggy if we leave it in any longer.

Once both sides were coated, I put the bread in a pan of melted butter & cooked each side for about 3 minutes.

That’s it!
Didn’t I tell you it would be super easy?

*for the coffee whipped cream*

Okay so this whipped cream:
It wasn’t fucking working with me.

At some point, it just became chunky & it really stressed me out.

But it still tasted really good?

So I don’t know guys, follow this but like, maybe don’t go to the bathroom halfway through & do your makeup like I did.

cream
I combined the cream, powdered sugar, black coffee, and the coffee grounds in a mixing bowl on medium speed until the cream is fluffy & light.

Once it was finished (about 6 minutes), I plopped some on top of the French Toast.

Perfect topping for this delicious breakfast.

so yeah, there you have it.

This would be perfect for a semi-fancy brunch or a great Valentine’s Day meal if you want to impress your boo!

Happy brunching. ❤
