Bitches Be Cooking: Tuna Poke Bowl.

Hey guys!

So, let me give you a little back story on this heal I’m about to share with you:

#Boyfriend went to Hawaii earlier this year & ever since he came back all he could talk about is Poke.

Now if you’re not familiar, Poke is a traditional Hawaiian fish salad consisting of fresh, raw fish that’s marinated in a soy sauce/sesame oil.

The first time I ever had it was at Selden Standard & honestly, I was apprehensive. I’m not a huge fan of raw fish but once #Boyfriend gave me some of his, I was sold.

This dish was simple & fresh, making it the perfect summer dish.

 Let’s get started:

One pound of fresh ahi tuna

One avocado

1/4 cup of soy sauce

4 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar

4 tablespoons of sesame oil

1 /12 tablespoons of crushed red pepper

1 tablespoon of chopped green onion

I started off by chopping the tuna into little bite size cubes & I did the same with the avocado.

In a small bowl, I mixed the soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, red pepper, & the green onion & whisked them together.

I then marinated the tuna in the mixture for about 5 minutes.

Once that’s done, I placed the avocado & tuna over sticky rice.

Okay so, you guys are gonna yell at me because I can’t make rice.

I mean, I can but its not great so I bought this microwavable sticky rice by Annie Chun,

This brand makes the best Asian foods, so I advise you check them out!

And that’s about it!

I squeezed a little fresh lime juice on top,

then went to town.

Hope you enjoy this delicious meal as much as we did!
