Bitches Be Shopping: Hatchery Box!

So Jazzmin and I have wanted to try a subscription box for the longest, ok? We finally decided to try Hatchery Box for the month of April. Unfortunately, it arrived a little later than planned. :/

But it’s cool cause we were very excited with what we got. So I guess you could say it was worth the wait?

For those of you that aren’t familiar, Hatchery Tasting Box is a monthly subscription box with different samples of gourmet foods ranging from spices, oils, syrups and jams to seasonings, baking ingredients and more!

Let’s start with how great and cute the packaging is. I love companies that give a shit about how protected the product is for the customer.

So wonderfully protected. Let’s see what’s inside!

1. Blackberry Vinaigrette

  • So this was something I wasn’t worried about. I knew it would taste great because vinaigrette. The deep taste of the blackberry was an awesome balance to the tang of the ‘rette. Had an amazing spinach salad with this stuff.

2. Granulated Nectar with Coconut Flowers

  • I’m still unsure about this. Granulated nectar is basically coconut sugar. Which is a healthier alternative to regular white sugar. It tastes funny but then again, who’s just eating sugar plain, right????

3. Lavender Simple Syrup

  • Ok so bitch, lemmetellusometing. I’ve never just had simple syrup cause wtf gross. But this is so vv sweet in like a way that isn’t overwhelming, ya know? It actually reminded me of vanilla which had me SOLD. Making hella dranks for y’all.

4. St. Lucifer Spice

  • Name: self explanatory. This shit is hot as FUCK. OK?? I would not eat it by itself, personally, cause I’m sensitive to really hot tings. But as a dry rub for meat? It’s literally lit.

5. Sriracha

  • I mean. How could you not.

That was Hatchery for the month of April!
I’m super excited to cook with all these goodies. Look out for future recipes using some of these ingredients, as well as May’s box!
