Hey guys, another broke bitch meal coming your way!
This time I made gnocchi in a Gorgonzola cream sauce.
If you’re not familiar gnocchi is a type of pasta made from potatoes.
A little disclosure, I didn’t make the gnocchi from scratch, cause 1.) who has the time 2.) it’s a broke bitch meal.
So this recipe is for the Gorgonzola cream sauce which tasted delicious on the gnocchi & was super simple.
Let’s get started!
1 2/3 cups of heavy whipping cream
3 1/2 ounces of Gorgonzola cheese
1 cup of Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of chopped garlic
salt & pepper to taste.
Okay, start off by sauteing the chopped garlic in the pot of olive oil. Once that is fragrant, add in the heavy cream & let that thicken on low-medium heat, which takes about 8 minutes or so.
Stir it occasionally so it doesn’t burn.
While this is coming together, I suggest boiling the gnocchi so it can be done at the same time as the sauce. Oh, you can also pan-fry the gnocchi in some olive oil, which is pretty damn delicious but I fucked them up once trying to make it like that so now I just boil them.
Once the sauce thickens,
lower the heat to low & add both the cheeses & stir until they’re combined.
Once that’s done,
pour the sauce on top of the gnocchi & there you have it,
one delicious broke bitch meal!
