Alarmingly Easy Billion Cheese Mac

The two best things in the world combined: cheese and pasta. How could you not?! Anywho, excuse my brief obsessing but I love macaroni and cheese. This recipe is something that I have had pretty much all my life because my beautiful mother, Wonda Sr <3, has made it for my family since I could remember. Naturally, I go against the grain a lot so I’ve personalized this recipe a bit cause bitches love cheese. Now, this recipe is for one cause SOMEBODY doesn’t like macaroni and cheese. That, however, ain’t my beef cause I’m the one enjoying it. WOMP! But anywho, it’s a SUPER simple recipe for those who aren’t as inclined in the kitchen or those who just want it quick, fast and in a hurry. What you’ll need:

ONE BILLION CHEESES...jk. I used 5 cheeses. I didn’t measure for the cheeses cause I add however much I want BUT this is about the amount I used for this recipe for one:

2 oz of shredded mild cheddar

2 oz of shredded mozzarella

2 oz of Asiago/provolone mixture

1 oz of shredded Parmesan

1 egg

1/4 cup of milk

1 tbsp of butter

1 cup of elbow macaroni

1/8 tsp of sea salt

1/2 tbsp of oregano

pepper (I never really measure out, tbh)

So first thing’s first, preheat your oven to about 375 degrees. You’ll then warm up a pot of boiling water for the noodles. I normally put a dash of salt in the water so that the noodles will have a little flavor. When the water starts to boil, you can add your noodles.

My friend didn’t have a smaller pot so this is what I had to use. Just winging it! I let them cook for about 12 minutes or at least until I feel they’re soft enough. While those boil, I mix the egg and milk together.

I make sure the egg is thoroughly beaten into the milk. Set that aside. Once the noodles are soft enough to your liking, strain them in a colander and let them cool for a few minutes.

After they’ve cooled, you can start layering your cheese and noodles. I, personally, like to mix the cheeses with each layer. Starting with the macaroni, I then layer the cheeses betwixt them.

Yea. Sexy bitch. Mm. So once the layers are done, sprinkle some pepper and the oregano on top.

Soon after, you will pour the milk and egg mixture on the very top. It will saturate through the layers making it nice and gooey.

Then you will add the butter on top.

Now you’re ready for baking! Put in the oven for about 20 mins or until the cheese has melted to your liking. Now watch as the cheeses dance.

Look at lil bae cooking. Smh.

-looks at time- Should be about done! Don’t forget your oven mitts! Can’t eat delicious mac and cheese with burnt fingers, can ya? NOAP. So let it cool for a few minutes cause I don’t want y’all to burn your mouths like I did. My ass was a little too eager and well, yea. Fucking ouch. But no ragrets.

Et, voila! You can add a little more oregano and pepper if that’s what tickles your fancy. Crack open a bottle of beer and enjoy your alarmingly easy mac!

Bon appetit, my hungry loves! ❤
